Armenia is a landlocked country situated on both continents of Asia and Europe. It is bordered by Turkey to its west side, Georgia to the north, Iran to the south and Azerbaijan to the east.

Armenia is considered as the first Christian country that was built in 301 A.D. some 1,700 years ago. Previously, Armenia was part of the Soviet Union but now is a republic country based in the Caucasus region of Eurasia. It has an ancient and vibrant culture that can easily be experienced when you travel Armenia.

Once you travel Armenia, you will notice that the place has significant footprints of early Christianity. It has a history of over 3,000 years, comprising of states, principalities, kingdom and empires.

When you travel Armenia, you will see thousands of churches and monasteries, which hints at their past. Armenians are Apostolic Christians and have their own religious leader known as Catholicos. Armenian is the official language in Armenia, whereas most people also know Russian.

It has several mountains and mountain valleys which offer a range of climatic conditions and changing landscapes. You can visit the Lake Sevan region that hosts the 2,000 meter high Lake Sevan, surrounded by churches, monasteries, mountains and beaches. The Debed River Canyon in Northern Armenia is a must to see. The Southern part of Armenia is heavily covered with monasteries such as the Tatev Monastery and Norvank Monastery.
